Confidence in composition and value

Not every metal can be reliably identified by sight. Coatings, alloys, contamination and missing material codes can make correct sorting and valuation difficult. Professional metal analysis provides clearer insight into material composition.

Visser Metal Trading helps businesses and private customers assess unknown metals, high-grade alloys and precious-metal-bearing materials. Results, quantity, quality and current market prices form the basis of a transparent valuation.

When is analysis useful?

Unknown material

When markings, certificates or material codes are missing and the metal type cannot be reliably identified.

Mixed lots

To separate different metals or alloys more effectively and sort a lot correctly.

Special alloys

For nickel, cobalt, titanium, tungsten and other high-grade alloys with different values.

Precious-metal-bearing material

For materials whose gold, silver, platinum, palladium or other precious-metal content determines their value.

How assessment works

01

Submit your lot

Send photos, material codes, quantities and available information, or bring the material to us.

02

Pre-selection

We examine condition, sorting, contamination and origin to determine the appropriate assessment.

03

Material analysis

Relevant samples are assessed to identify the metals present and the probable alloy.

04

Value and handling

You receive a clear explanation and, if the material is suitable for purchase, a fair market offer.

Materials we can assess

Metals and alloys

  • Ferrous and non-ferrous metals
  • Stainless-steel and nickel alloys
  • Special metals and carbide
  • Unknown or mixed metal lots

Valuable materials

  • Precious metals and precious-metal-bearing materials
  • Industrial components and residual streams
  • Electronic components and circuit boards
  • Catalytic converters and monoliths

Important: A practical material assessment is not automatically equivalent to an accredited laboratory report or official material certificate. Coatings, surface contamination and non-homogeneous lots may require additional testing or multiple samples. Discuss this with us in advance if you need a formal analysis certificate.
